While the best time to purchase tickets on can Southwest vary a little, a general rule of thumb is to shop Tuesday at 3 p.m. ![]() This is not an easy task, given that each of these supervillains is surrounded by loyal goons and sophisticated security systems – and, what’s more, each has a habit of quietly changing locations throughout the day. In short order, Colt determines that the only way to “break the loop” and escape this purgatory is to kill all eight Visionaries before the day ends. This extraordinary island has been hijacked, so to speak, by eight aggressively unpleasant megalomaniacs called the Visionaries, who have used bleeding-edge experimental physics to turn Blackreef into their eternal, self-aggrandizing playground. He is living the same day over and over, thanks to the unique timey-wimey properties of Blackreef. Colt remembers almost nothing about his past up to this point, but his extraordinary circumstances quickly become apparent. The player controls Colt Vahn, a foul-mouthed ex-military type who awakens on a beach on the mysterious subarctic island of Blackreef. The elevator-pitch premise of Deathloop is admittedly arresting. Friday’s worth of ridiculous garnishes, then Deathloop is a perfectly shaken whiskey sour. If Assassin's Creed has become one of those novelty bloody marys stuffed with a T.G.I. Arkane Studios’ inventive puzzle-box shooter Deathloop is the latest title to illustrate that game developers can achieve amazing things when they focus on doing a handful of things very, very well. Ditto Crystal Dynamics’ Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015). Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us (2013) was another. Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2010) was one such game. Occasionally, however, a AAA title comes along that throws into stark relief just how needlessly distended many of its contemporaries have become. (This writer, for one, still spent 200+ hours in the world of Valhalla, because everything else aside, it remains a spectacular, pseudo-historical simulation of Dark Ages England, which is extremely my jam.) The proliferation of Stuff is starting to feel like a problem, however, one that big game studios are struggling to overcome, given that packing their games with these checklists of bric-a-brac seems to result in ungodly piles of money. It’s also worth pointing out that this doesn’t necessarily mean that such games are bad. This is hardly an original observation for a critic to make, of course. This epidemic of Stuff – combined with vast open world settings and over-long, meandering storylines – contributes to an exhausting sense of bloat in many AAA prestige video games. There are weapons, armor, mounts, ships, and tattoos to unlock. Motivated, perhaps, by a belief that gamers must quote-unquote feel like they’re getting their money’s worth, Valhalla publisher Ubisoft also crammed the game with a seemingly limitless laundry list of Stuff: side quests to complete, monasteries to raid, legendary beasts to slay, curses to break, mysteries to solve, and what seems like about 500 treasure chests to locate and open. ![]() It is not enough that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla allows you to stealthily eliminate Anglo-Saxon evildoers in a mind-blowingly meticulous recreation of 8th-century England. One might term this the Ubisoft Problem, although the condition afflicts titles released by many prestige game studios. While the jury’s still out on this causing such performance issues with PC games, that hasn’t prevented PC players from bombarding the game’s Steam reviews with requests for Arkane and publisher Bethesda to remove Denuvo from the game. One of the common criticisms that is often leveled against contemporary AAA video games is that they’re overstuffed with… stuff. Steam reviewers are unanimous in their belief that this is related to its implementation of the controversial Denuvo Anti-Cheat, software that is implemented to prevent PC users from cracking games and pirating them. Despite running well below the recommended VRAM usage and tinkering with its settings, there’s still an overall choppiness to the game that isn’t present in the PS5 version. We tested the PC version for ourselves and, while its performance issues aren’t debilitating, we’ve experienced similar problems. “Stuttered like crazy on my RTX 3070ti at 1080p even with the latest drivers + RTX off.” The top Steam reviews are littered with users claiming that they are running high-end GPUs yet are still experiencing problems: “Game’s great just optimized like ….REALLY BAD,” one review reads. While the game has received highly positive ratings on PS5, its PC counterpart has fared worse with players, who have lambasted its performance issues at launch.Ĭurrently, many have noted that despite them having over 60 FPS in-game, there is still notable stuttering and overall blurriness no matter what setting they use. Deathloop currently has a “mixed” rating on Steam, which utilizes user reviews to determine its score. ![]() Renck 222 Delaware Ave, Suite 1600 Wilmington, DE 19801 Classification And Flotation Systems, Inc. It was not a good start to “reliable performance.” First, the box was a little beat up but didn’t look like anything was broken. We recently purchased the Fortress 6 gallon pancake compressor. I do pressure testing for pipelines as well as Natural Gas pads. With respect to their project-focus newsletters – that’s a brilliant strategy and one that some other brands (such as Craftsman and Ryobi) would be smart to emulate. Maybe this is all just a marketing phase they’re going through, but I hope they keep it up. Actually, Harbor Freight never really seemed synonymous with high quality either. The “unbelievably low prices” never really seemed to convey “quality” to me. “Reliable performance” seems to be a new claim for them. Harbor Freight has thrown around words such as “professional precision” and “rugged construction” before. Sometimes a super coupon would feature a new tool in a comparison chart against a popular brand model. Even when there was a new product mention, such as a new color of tool cart, the emails were nearly entirely composed of paper flyer-style coupons. Going back to 2019, there are newsletters about “free events,” liquidation sales, inventory blowouts, super coupons, parking lot sales, and such. Maybe this isn’t a brand new approach, but I can see a definitive shift when looking at how their email newsletters are different now compared to last year. Harbor Freight is experimenting with messaging such as “reliable performance,” they’ve improved their product-based marketing, and they’re emphasizing customer projects and efforts. At the end there’s a note to use Harbor Freight’s projects hashtag in social media posts for a chance to be featured in future newsletters. Looking at another newsletter, there are user projects and links to some of the tools used to create them. Where’s the “unbelievable low prices” messaging here? There’s also a “closeout special” in the newsletter – I suppose they’re clearing out Central Pneumatic air compressors in favor of the McGraw. Plus, it’s not even accurate – the Menards is $156 with mail-in rebate, not $175. I still don’t like how Harbor Freight selects the “compare to” models based on current pricing of competitor models. There’s still an “Instant Savings” entry, and although their “compare to” model is also an ultra-quiet model, the California Air Tools is only slightly more expensive. New “Ultra-Quiet” Harbor Freight Fortress Air Compressor Maybe they read my post, where I question why Harbor Freight is comparing Fortress air compressors against different classes of compressors instead of competing like-quiet brands and models. With their ultra quiet Fortress air compressors, Harbor Freight has turned their attention towards California Air Tools. I wonder if user sentiments are changing. I’ve seen messaging in online community forums, where it’s said tool users can look to Harbor Freight for tools or supplies, as long as the products don’t have a motor or involve compressed air. THIS is how you sell tools, not with “tool disposal” notices. They have breakdowns of the features and specs, and images of the two compressors’ 5-star ratings. ![]() In the newsletter, Harbor Freight’s “reliable performance” claims are centered around the McGraw 3 gallon air compressors, priced at $60. “Find the right compressor for any job.” This is much different than the message they usually send out. ![]() The newsletter opens up to the above image, where Harbor Freight invites you to check out their full line of compressors – find the right compressor for any job. This wasn’t another “Icon Beats Snap-on,” “Tool Disposal,” or promo newsletter, it focused on Harbor Freight Tools. There were a couple of product-focused newsletters, but to be honest I never paid much attention to them.Īnd then I noticed a new email, with the subject line Reliable Performance at Unbeatable Prices. Most of Harbor Freight’s email newsletters in 2020 were focused on sales, coupons, and promos. “Tool disposal notice?” That’s the opposite or reassuring. Harbor Freight’s email newsletter titles have varied: Well, it seems they are working towards something different, or at least trying new things. ![]() We are sorry to inform the fans, but there won’t be Teenage Bounty Hunters Season 2. "And then with Sterling and Blair, they're not twins, they're cousins, and does it matter to them? And how will that create a fallout with their family?"Īnd considering how much the world has changed in 2020, the creator would love to infuse that into the series. "I would love to explore the question of what it means to be a sister, because Dana and Debbie, obviously, will have that to explore there, what does this relationship, if anything, mean between them and where they will be moving forward," she says. If Jordan gets her way, she knows exactly where season 2 would go next. "How will this discovery affect Blair's relationship with Sterling? How will this discovery affect Sterling's relationship with Blair and also her parents and this huge what could be characterized as a lie, it could also be characterized as an act of service for so many years? While Netflix has yet to renew Teenage Bounty Hunters, Jordan is hopeful that she'll get the chance to continue this story in another season because "there's a lot of love still on the table, a lot of drama and cliffhangers heading into the second season," and not just when it comes to the Wesley family. She saw the opportunity for upward social mobility with her husband, Anderson, and from there, she rewrote the script of her life." It's all born of love, she wanted to fit in and have this better life for her children. "She's such a perfect Buckhead mom because it is a studied creation. "Debbie is so good at being Debbie, because Debbie is a construction," she adds with a laugh. "There's nothing that I like more than a a twist in a TV show so I really knew that I wanted that to be a huge part of what we were building towards."Īnd the same goes for the Debbie/Dana twin twist, Jordan says. "When I pitched the show to Jenji and her producing partner Tara Herrmann, I pitched this finale," she tells EW. Teenage Bounty Hunters creator/writer/co-executive producer Kathleen Jordan reveals that this finale cliffhanger was always her plan for how she would end the first season. How will this secret affect their bond moving forward now that the secret's out? They can literally communicate via twin telepathy (or is that cousin telepathy?). It changes everything for the formerly twin sisters, as they've built their lives and identities around being each other's twin. The action-packed and thrilling finale ended with Sterling and Blair learning this devastating secret after Dana attempted to kidnap Sterling, forcing Debbie and husband Anderson (Mackenzie Astin) to finally come clean about how they've been covering up Dana's criminal past while sheltering her daughter as she went on the run. ![]() Mobs of enemies will be waiting for you with spears and swords in the vain hope it will be enough to stop you.
